About Filmomentum
Filmomentum is a creative digital studio based in Ontario, Canada.
We work with businesses, organizations, and individuals to develop visual content and digital projects, from whiteboard animation and motion graphics to video editing and website development.
Every project is different. Some clients come to us with a detailed plan, while others need help figuring out where to begin. We’re comfortable working either way, adapting our approach to the people and projects we work with.
It All Started With a Blog
Filmomentum’s story began in 2008, with a blog called Chanfaina, created by Paris Escandón.
The blog brought together people who shared an interest in video production, filmmaking, and creative technology. Among them were Santiago Escribano in Spain and Jorge Tassoli in Argentina.
What started as conversations between people living in different countries eventually grew into something more ambitious: the idea of working together on creative projects.
That idea would become Filmomentum.
Three Countries, One Studio
In 2010, Paris Escandón, Santiago Escribano, and Jorge Tassoli officially launched Filmomentum.
With Paris in Canada, Santiago in Spain, and Jorge in Argentina, the studio began as an international collaboration.
Our early work focused on video production, particularly weddings and special events. Working across three countries presented its own challenges, but it also allowed us to share ideas, experiences, and different approaches to creative work.
Those early collaborations helped shape the studio that Filmomentum would eventually become.
Our Experience
Filmomentum was established in 2010, but our experience in creative production goes back even further, including work in television production in Mexico.
Over the years, we’ve worked on animation, video production, graphic design, and website development for a variety of projects and clients.
That experience has taught us how to anticipate potential problems, handle unexpected challenges, and find practical solutions when things don’t go according to plan.
We understand that creative work involves more than having good ideas. It also requires knowing how to turn those ideas into finished projects.
Filmomentum Today
A lot has changed since Filmomentum began in 2010.
What started with video production has gradually expanded into animation, motion graphics, video editing, and website development.
Today, Filmomentum operates from Ontario, Canada, working with clients locally and internationally.
Our services have evolved over the years, but we continue to approach each project with the same curiosity and interest in finding creative solutions.
How We Work
We believe a good project starts with understanding what the client wants to accomplish.
Some clients appreciate suggestions and creative input. Others already know exactly what they want, and we’re happy to follow their direction.
We keep communication open throughout the process, discuss practical solutions, and make sure expectations are clear before production begins.
Still Learning, Still Creating
Creative technology never stands still, and neither do we.
Over the years, we’ve adapted to new software, production techniques, and ways of working. Some tools have changed how we approach projects, while others have opened possibilities we couldn’t have imagined when Filmomentum started.
More recently, we’ve ventured into 3D printing through Dusk Till Dawn Studio, exploring digital sculpting, prototyping, and physical production.
We continue learning and experimenting, looking for practical ways to improve our work and explore new creative possibilities.
For us, staying curious is part of the job.
