Filmomentum was founded seven years ago by Paris Escandón, a legally blind video editor and motion graphic artist from Mexico with over a dozen years’ experience in most aspects of production, from hosting and producing television programs, to animating internet-based videos. Paris has never stopped learning, challenging and improving skills and techniques despite what some would consider his physical limitations.
Our goal was to create a local Ottawa-based international online company that provides video editing, motion graphics and video production services for affordable prices. Since its creation, Filmomentum has been constantly busy in Canada and Spain by participating in international animation and video contests, producing advertisements, covering weddings, social and corporate events, as well as creating podcasts and whiteboard animations. Filmomentum has always supported the local community by helping other artists on their projects and local Ottawa organizations, such as Runway for Hope, the local chapter of the Kidney Foundation of Canada, and Recovery Day Ottawa, among others.
Thanks to technology, we believe that these days small companies working together can deliver products of the same or higher quality as big corporations, and at more reasonable prices and with a better outcome for the local economy.
